Moov Africa Benin’s Mobile business is structured around prepaid and postpaid services, offering voice and data packages. It also provides roaming for its Mobile subscribers abroad as well as for customers of foreign partner operators visiting Benin. In addition to 3G and 4G services (launched in April 2017), Moov Africa Benin also offers an m-payment service under the Moov Money brand.

As of September 30, 2023, the Beninese market had 14.2 million Mobile customers, representing a penetration rate of 109%.

Moov Africa Benin’s Mobile base, almost entirely prepaid, stood at 5.7 million customers as of December 31, 2023, up 4.9% year-on-year. Moov Africa Benin’s market share reached 39% at the end of September 2023. It should be noted that on October 21, 2022, the national operator SBIN launched its Mobile and Mobile Money services under the umbrella brand Celtiis, with a five-year management contract with the Sonatel Group.
